This Basic Training is designed for SURVEYORS to use Topcon GPS+ Receivers and Software for typical Land Surveying tasks. Basic Training in use of latest release of TopSURV, TopLINK & Topcon Tools. Classroom and field training in Basic RTK and Static GPS methods.  Very Basic Training in Post-Processing. Training in transferring data to and from Data Collectors, Receivers, and Laptop Computer. Surveyors will learn how to connect to Data Collectors, Receivers, laptops, and radios in order to update firmware, software, OAFs, radio freqs, and troubleshoot any problems. There will be a “Field to Finish” exercise at end to require teams to plan, acquire data, and deliver data to office.  Pre-Requisites: Basic Computer Literacy & Survey Training and/or Experience
. • GPS Alaska will provide all GPS Equipment needed.
. • Bring your own Data Collector (FC-100, 200, 2000, or 2200).  You will be able to update firmware and TopSURV during class. Up to 2 trainees can share a Data Collector. If you do not have one available, one can be rented at the class.
. • Bring your own Laptop computer. You will be able to update PC-CDU, TopLINK, Topcon Tools, and ModemTPS during class.  If you do not have your own Laptop computer you may share one of the classroom computers but hands on time may be reduced.

Certification & Continuing Education
. • Certificates of Completion will be provided to all who complete the course.
. • It is recommended that those who complete the course claim 24 hours of Professional
Development Hours toward any Continuing Education requirements needed.

Cost: $900 for 3 Day Course.  Includes lunches.
. • $100 Discount per trainee for firms sending more than one trainee
. • $100 Early Payment Discount for registering and making payment 30 days prior to start of training
. • $100 Discount for State of Alaska employee or AGC Members
Discounts can be combined for up to $200 per trainee.
Data Collector Rental - If you do not have a Data Collector, you can rent one for course for $100.
Refunds will be made as follows:

. • 100% for withdrawals at least 30 days prior to start of training
. • 50% for withdrawals at least 8 days prior to start of training 
. • No refunds for withdrawal less than 8 days prior to start of training
